The Team at La Blanquette Gîtes and Glamping

Frank, his wife Julie, his daughter Nik and son-in-law Jason arrived at La Blanquette in January of 2012 and quickly set about the task of renovating and improving the buildings and grounds. After much hard work the Gîte, Bed & Breakfast, Glamping accommodation and grounds were made ready along with the cycle and canoe hire.

In September 2016 Frank & Julie retired, they’ll still be helping out (or just holidaying!) here from time to time so you may well bump into them at La Blanquette.

Meet the team…

Nik:
Nik has a background in Computer Information Systems and then retrained in Building Surveying while in the UK. Nik loves dogs and volunteers for the Dordogne based animal rescue charity Phoenix. One of her favourite things to do is spend time with Graham and Grace the Whippets while relaxing with a glass of wine!

Jason:
Jason worked in IT for 20 years and spent the last 5 years of that time as IT Director for an aerospace and defence company. Jason’s passion are rugby and cycling; he loves enjoying a pint watching a match or spending time  on the road or trails (Jason and Nik did the ”Devizes to Dordogne Dash” in 2015).

Frank:
Frank has had his own building business for over 30 years, developing property and working on building projects in the West of England, France, Spain and the Caribbean. Now retired, Frank enjoys riding his motorbike and spending time with family, friends and a glass of Bacardi and Coke.

Julie:
Julie trained as a chef and then went on to work as a dental techinician, she is Mum of two strapping lads who are now grown-up and replaced by three pugs! Now retired, Julie loves eating out, socialising and cuddling Lulu, Puggy and Bryn the pugs.
